Cookies
firette.com uses two cookies, both on the contact page, and both there to make the form work and keep it free of spam. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise the same browser on a later request. Some are essential to a site working at all; others exist to watch what you do. We only use the first kind.
The cookies this site sets
You will not pick up either of these by reading the site. They are set only when you open the contact page.
| Cookie | Set by | Lasts | What it is for |
|---|---|---|---|
FIRETTESESS |
firette.com | Until you close your browser | Holds the security token that proves the contact form was submitted from this site and not forged elsewhere. Without it the form cannot be sent. |
_GRECAPTCHA |
Set by Google, typically around six months | Used by Google reCAPTCHA v3 to tell people from bots, so the form is not flooded with spam. |
Why we do not ask you to accept them
The rules require consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary — analytics, advertising and tracking. We do not use any. The session cookie is essential to a service you have asked for: sending us a message. The reCAPTCHA cookie is there to prevent abuse of that same form.
Google reCAPTCHA
The contact page loads reCAPTCHA v3 from Google. As well as the cookie above, it collects technical information about your device and how you interact with the page, and sends it to Google to score how likely you are to be a person. That processing is covered by Google's privacy policy and terms of service. reCAPTCHA does not run on any other page of this site.
Turning them off
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under Settings then Privacy. Blocking them will not affect reading the site, but it will stop the contact form working — the security token has nowhere to live, so submissions will be rejected. You can still reach us at info@firette.com.
More on how we handle data
See our privacy statement for what we collect through the contact form, how long we keep it and your rights over it.
