What we do

Vertical Markets

Three sectors where we hold specific, current knowledge — of the legislation, the systems, the data and the people who make the decisions.

Why sector knowledge matters

In these markets we can be useful from the first meeting, because we do not need the sector explained to us. That shortens the expensive part of any engagement: the weeks a generalist spends learning the vocabulary, the regulations and the reasons things are done the way they are.

It also changes the quality of the advice. Knowing which rules are genuinely binding and which are simply custom is what separates a recommendation you can act on from one that falls apart on contact with the detail.

Business Rates

Empty property and relief strategy, rates implications of changes to commercial properties, management of rates for serviced offices.

Banking

Operational, regulatory and change inside banks and for the businesses that have to deal with them.

IT Development

Delivery that is genuinely under control: architecture, estimates you can defend, and teams that deliver. We use AI tools in development to enhance productivity and ensure code quality.

How the vertical work is delivered

We place people on site for analysis and recommendations, then work alongside your team to put those recommendations into effect. We do not deliver a report and leave — we stay in contact and keep discussing progress, so warning signs get acted on early, while there is still time to fix them.

Sector work rarely stays purely within its sector, so these engagements combine readily with our horizontal disciplines — most often business process, where the sector problem turns out to be a working-practice problem wearing a specialist coat.

Working in one of these sectors?
